Attachment's OVER!
School's OVER!
And now is HoLidaYs for me!
Hee.. Just the time that i've been waiting for after all those hardwork. Being a student nurse isn't easy. Definately! You have to go back to school and study, go to the hospital and work, then back to school and so on. It's just a good way to lose weight. Haha. Like what my aunt said,
'You've lost weight!'
I've been terribly BUSY for one whole month! Gosh. Yeah, had been busy working @ Ward 45. It's a respiratory ward and yeah the most toughest and busiest ward ever. But well, i enjoyed myself working there. Learnt alot. Especially the different types of masks and oxygen requirement. =)
I was so, so happy that i did urinary catheterisation for one of my patients for my very first time. Just one of the skills which i find very challenging when i was still a Year 1 student. You have to clean the perineal area and insert this tube into one of the holes in the meatus. Hee.. I felt so relieved when my colleagues said i did pretty well and even the Clinical Instructor said so.
And yeah, don't be surprise if i tell you that i did suctioning on one of the patient alone. The patient was coughing out much phlegm and he was kinda breathless. So i quickly turned on the pump, regulate the pressure and began to suction the phlegm out of the tracheostomy tube. [an opening with the tube inserted in the throat]
I was so glad that i managed to make the patient felt better. But unfortunately, i got a scolding from the clinical instructor for doing it alone. Haha. Coz i need a staff nurse around.
